My Fellow SKALleagues,

WOW! Summer has arrived in all her full glory, perfect for the escape plans we have completed for a fabulous resort getaway to the Florida Keys. After a two-year hiatus, our Club's traditional August weekend retreat has resumed. It's time for relaxing and having a treat time with family, fellow SKALleagues and travel industry colleagues.

Speaking of which, we are blessed to be invited by a former San Francisco SKAL member and President of the Ocean Reef Club, Paul Astbury, who has empowered his world-class team to extend the best of their renowned hospitality and facilities at very special rate and generous discounts for us to fully enjoy our weekend at the Ocean Reef Club.

ROOM RATES: $109 per night +12.5% tax and daily service charge of $15 for gratuities which are paid to bell man, house keepers, pool attendants and van drivers for on-property transportation. Includes valet services and over-night on-site parking, use of the Ocean Reef Fitness Center, Beach Service including lounge chair and umbrella, 24 hour property transportation services, daily newspaper delivery, in-room coffee, tea and bottled water service. Additionally, high speed and wireless Internet connectivity as well as unlimited local and domestic long distance telephone calls are provided on a complimentary basis. How about that!
SKAL Dinners: Friday night elaborate buffet; Saturday night Beach Party BBQ; beer and wine included with each dinner. Both evenings proceeded by a two-hour open bar reception in our Presidential Hospitality Suite. Combined (both) evenings pre-paid cost, inclusive of taxes and gratuity, $120 per person to be reserved and pre-paid with SKAL Miami no later than July 21.
OCEAN REEF RESERVATIONS: Reservations will be made by contacting the reservation office at (800) 741-7333. Each reservation requires a one night deposit in the amount of $109 plus taxes no later than July 21. We have a limited room block and reservations will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that cancellations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival, anything after that is subject to a one night’s room rate and tax cancellation fee, except in the case of a weather-related hurricane warning or other impediment classified as a hazard by the Feds.
Special GOLF Rate of $45 per person + $10 service fee per round. $20 Club Fee will be waived.
