My Fellow SKALleagues,

Living the true spirit of SKAL is strengthening friendships, business to business relationships and support of a healthy South Florida tourism industry of travel professionals. All are important elements of our monthly reception and dinner networking events. It was gratifying to welcome another full turn out of members and their guests, many of whom were from out of town, to the world famous Smith & Wollensky magnificent waterfront Miami Beach Steakhouse.  The evening was generously arranged and extravagantly presented by our fellow Skalleague, Ivette Day, their Director of Sales. Thank you again Ivette and to all your restaurant team!

Our program chair, Xavier Lividini, is putting the final touches together for our next event which has been moved up on the calendar to Monday, October 4th this is due to the second week of October coinciding with the SKAL World Congress in Sydney Australia to be attended by our Executive Secretary and Sr. SIUSA Rep. And as it so happens a number of our members and officers will also be in Chicago the second week of October attending The Motivation Expo and Conference for the travel incentive industry.

Your board unanimously voted to accept a very generous and special invitation by our fellow Skalleague and past president of our club, Ramon Antelo, GM of the Hilton Bentley Miami/South Beach for a first night pre-opening exclusive SKAL dinner at the all new De Rodriguez Ocean Restaurant & Lounge in the Bentley Hilton Hotel - across from Prime 112 and sister to the De Rodriguez Cuba Restaurant at The Astor. The evening will be co-hosted by celebrity chef Douglas Rodriguez.

This will be a special SKAL evening to salute our champion Miami Dolphins! A Monday night home game against our arch rival The Patriots will be broadcasted live on big screens and celebrated with elaborate signature dishes and full bar at two for one happy hour prices all night and $5.00 mojitos and beer and wine, etc. The bar, restaurant and beach front patio will be SKAL's private party for the entire evening until the last whistle blows! If you wish to stay over Ramon is offering a very special overnight SKAL room rate of $99.00 plus tax for members and guests. Please contact directly at the reservation dept. #305-938-4600.

You are encouraged to bring guests and enjoy another unique SKAL Cub evening. We are looking forward to seeing you there celebrating Happiness, Good Health, Friendship and Long Life!

Best Wishes!

Yours in SKAL!
