| Miami Children's Hospital Christmas Donations |
Everyone had a great time at our annual Christmas/Holiday Party. As always, Skalleague Robert Lacle and the Doubletree delivered another great venue. Thanks also to Program Chair Xavier Lividini for the beautiful decorations and musical entertainment. We received more than 20 toys and over $300 in donations for the Miami Children's Hospital. Skalleagues Bob Burke and Tony Staikos along with Jerry Eastep delivered the presents & donations to the Hospital on December 14.
| Election Results for the 2011 Board |
Skalleagues,
Below are the results of the election of your 2011 Board that was held last night in conjunction with the Holiday Party at the Doubletree. Congratulations to all who were elected and a special welcome to the fresh faces that will be added to the Board next year. Installation of the new Board will be held aboard the Biscayne Lady at our March meeting. Mark your calendars.
Thanks to all that participated and supported me for Vice President.
I look forward to working with incoming President Capt Haley and the entire Board to continue the true spirit of Amicale and to grow Miami Skal Club in 2011.
Best Regards
Lupe Castillo, Secretary

SIUSA Upcoming Event in January 2011
SIUSA has teamed up with our friends in Region I and Skall International Albany to have a booth at the annual American Bus Association (ABA) Marketplace, being held in Philadelphia from January 8 through January 11, 2011. The ABA , is one of the leading business and networking associations for the motor coach travel industry in North America.
This is an excellent opportunity to introduce Skal to many in our related industry who may not be aware of how our organization can help in their business and professional development to approximately 3,500 travel and tourism professionals from the U.S. and Canada.
Skal will have a booth in the ABA Networking Floor Lounge, manned by Skalleagues from Skal International Philadelphia and Skal International Albany. A SIUSA display will clearly identify the booth and Skal International is providing collateral and membership application forms. All Skalleagues are invited to stop by and welcome potential new members to our organization.
On Monday, January 10, 2011, SIUSA, under the coordination of our Region I VP Frank Klare, Skal International and SIUSA will be co-hosting a Skal networking event from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the Pennsylvania Convention Center to introduce ABA members to Skal and what membership in the premiere international travel and tourism organization can offer them in the form of contacts and professional development. Prospective members will be given an application. A complete list of prospective members will be sent to appropriate Clubs for their follow-up.
The networking reception will offer cocktails and hor d'oeuvres for attendees. In order to offset part of this cost, we are asking members for a nominal fee of $25 and our prospective members a fee of $15. Cash or check only payable to Skal International Albany will be accepted at the door.
Please let us know if you plan to attend the upcoming ABA Trade show. Simply send an e-mail to Ernie Bruno, of S. I. Albany, by December 17, 2010. Please include the following information: Name, Company Name, Skal Club Name & Cell #.
Have a great day. Skal
Lou Conkling, CTC, SIUSA President, 2010-2011
